The sole survivor of the planet Krypton, Superman was raised on Earth by Jonathan and Martha Kent.  He assumed the identity of their son Clark and became top reporter for the Daily Planet.  His abilities, accomplishments, and popularity have made him the greatest superhero of all time and he was unanimously selected to be leader of the new JLA as well as just about every other team he's been a part of.  He has already led an eventful life, including a proclaimed death at the hands of the alien Doomsday and a recent transformation of his body and powers to an energy state.  Now back to the Man of Steel everybody loves, Superman continues to fight for truth, justice, and the American way.
