Once a petty crook, Eel O'Brian was exposed to some mysterious chemicals which turned him into the shapeshifting Plastic Man.  Never before a member of the Justice League, Plastic Man makes a comical counterpart to the the more serious members of the team.  Playful, carefree, creative, and versatile, he is a hero nonetheless devoted to his job.  He's a quick thinker and his ability to assume nearly any shape and size proves useful against unsuspecting opponents.  Of course his antics aren't taken well by all, which is evidenced by life threats from Orion, Huntress, and Big Barda.
