A scientist whose work with a fallen piece of a white dwarf star allowed him to alter his size, the Atom has served with the Justice League numerous times. His keen intellect and knowledge of molecular structures, as well as his ability to shrink to subatomic levels has helped save the day on many occasions. Just recently, Atom solved the mystery of Julian September's probability device and saved the population of the world by finding the cure for the Hourman virus. However, it was his aid in the defeat of Professor T.O. Morrow's newest Amazo android which led to him rejoining the League. Though the membership is supposedly just a temporary one, Atom's services will surely prove useful.
